Marina offers easy access to the historic downtown of Norfolk, VA. Even Steve could not help taking photos of the buildings!
We spent
time strolling the streets with stops at the Douglas MacArthur Memorial Museum,
Nauticus– including the USS Wisconsin and the Hunter House Victorian Museum.
Great eats were everywhere in this quiet town. We especially enjoyed lunch at
the Todd Jurich Bistro recommended by a helpful local who we met in the
MacArthur Memorial.
As a bonus, an upscale mall thrives in the heart of the
historic district with street art around every turn plus Mermaids grace
every corner….
