A
mini-break in JAX
After
catching up on sleep we flew up the St John’s River with a rising tide to
Jacksonville and the most hospitable marina at Ortega Landing where we rested
for almost three weeks. Besides catching
up on boat chores with the handy marine salvage store, we traveled to Columbus,
Mississippi with a brief stop at our storage unit in Panama City to liberate a
few treasures. We are proud to say it was possible to get in and out with only
a few bruises and minimal unpacking. Maybe it is time to downsize the storage
units?????
The
cats came with adding to their adventures – but we are not totally sure if they
approved of car travel.
Thanksgiving
was again a wonderful feast prepared by Amanda and Paul. With only one “cold”
night, our time there was blessed with pleasant weather – especially compared
to last year and all the recent storms.
Of course the cold came at the time the boys were frying that turkey,
but then nothing is perfect. We are blessed to be able to spend time with our
kids and enjoy their generous hospitality.
We look forward to returning the favor and seeing them on board Erben
Renewal down south.
